2018 was an eventful year for MINIMAL. We engaged in exciting new partnerships, saw a number of our designs hit the market and win awards, and made our mark across a diverse range of industries. Our team approaches design holistically—bridging the gaps between product design, engineering, UX/UI, branding, and strategy—to create meaningful impact and build value for our clients.
Scott Wilson and MINIMAL have decided to partner closely with Chicago’s Cresco Labs, one of the of the largest vertically integrated, multi-state cannabis companies in the U.S., to elevate their entire consumer experience. Through MNML Ventures, the creative capital accelerator of MINIMAL, Wilson will assume the role as Chief Experience Officer alongside his pre-IPO investment in Cresco, where he and the MINIMAL team will extend Cresco Labs’ mission to professionalize and modernize mainstream cannabis for medical patients and emerging recreational users.
MINIMAL brought home two gold International Design Excellence Awards from this year's IDSA award ceremony for the TURF Acoustic Tile System and HBF Fulton Rocker. We're honored to be recognized amongst the 145 winners of one of the world's most rigorous and prestigious design competitions.
MNML may have just turned 10, but our roots have been running deep in the Chicago West Loop for 22 years. To celebrate our love for this city and the neighborhood we've made our home, we’re excited to have worked with muralist and artist Lauren Asta to bring her work back to the Fulton Market District.
2015 was action-packed, fueled by expansion and growth. We’d like to thank our phenomenal clients, partners, fellow risk-takers, rule-breakers, and doers who helped make it happen. We’re looking forward to 2016, but before we do, let’s revisit the milestones that made 2015 simply disruptive.
