Hardware Design & Engineering

How we approach it.

Hardware is where MNML was born. We've shipped over 250 products across consumer electronics, medical devices, furniture, wellness, and lifestyle. Our integrated team of industrial designers and mechanical engineers work side by side from day one — which means fewer surprises, faster timelines, and products that actually get made.

Concept Development

Sketching, 3D modeling, form studies, and design exploration to establish direction.

Industrial Design

Surface development, CMF (color, material, finish), ergonomics, and DFM considerations.

Mechanical Engineering

Internal architecture, tolerance analysis, thermal management, and mechanism design.

Prototyping & Testing

3D printing, CNC machining, functional prototypes, and user testing iterations.

Manufacturing & Sourcing

Vendor selection, tooling development, pilot runs, and production management.

Industrial design that moves markets.

Our industrial designers create products that are beautiful, functional, and manufacturable. We don't design fantasy objects. We design things that ship — and sell. From consumer electronics and medical devices to furniture and wearables, our portfolio includes products that have generated billions in revenue for our clients.

Engineering built into the design

At most studios, designers hand off to engineers and hope for the best. At MNML, our mechanical engineers are in the room from the start. That means every curve, every split line, every draft angle is considered early — not retrofitted later. The result: faster timelines, lower tooling costs, and products that work.

From prototype to production.

We don't stop at a beautiful rendering. We take products all the way through prototyping, tooling, pilot production, and mass manufacturing. Our sourcing team manages vendor relationships across the US, Mexico, and Asia to find the right manufacturing partner for every project.
